Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your SSHIA account by requiring a one-time code in addition to your password when logging in.

To enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on your SSHIA account:

  1. Log in to the portal and navigate to My Profile > Security Settings.
  2. Click Enable Two-Factor Authentication.
  3. Choose your preferred 2FA method: SMS (OTP sent to your phone) or Authenticator App (Google Authenticator or Authy).
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
  5. Save your backup codes in a secure location — these can be used to access your account if you lose access to your 2FA device.

Once 2FA is enabled, you will be prompted to enter a 6-digit code each time you log in. The code is valid for 10 minutes.

If you lose access to your 2FA device (e.g., lost phone), use one of your backup codes to log in. If you have also lost your backup codes, contact Technical Support at support@sshia.org with proof of identity to disable 2FA on your account.
