If your membership fee is not paid by the renewal deadline, your membership status changes to Grace Period for 30 days. During this period, you retain read-only access to the portal but cannot register for training, access premium resources, or vote in elections. After the 30-day grace period, your membership is suspended and portal access is fully restricted. To reinstate a suspended membership, you must pay all outstanding fees plus a reinstatement fee. Memberships suspended for more than 12 months require a fresh application.

SSHIA sends automated reminders at 60 days, 30 days, 14 days, and 7 days before your renewal date. If you are experiencing financial hardship, contact the SSHIA Membership Desk before your renewal date to discuss a payment plan or fee waiver. SSHIA has a hardship fund for members in genuine financial difficulty.
