The SSHIA Code of Conduct requires members to:

  • Uphold the highest standards of professional integrity and honesty in all health informatics work
  • Respect patient confidentiality and data privacy at all times
  • Avoid conflicts of interest and disclose any potential conflicts to relevant parties
  • Treat colleagues, clients, and the public with respect and dignity
  • Contribute positively to the advancement of health informatics in South Sudan
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations governing health information management
  • Report unethical conduct by other members to the SSHIA Ethics Committee

Violations of the Code of Conduct can result in suspension or termination of membership following an investigation by the Ethics Committee.
