What are the different SSHIA membership categories?
SSHIA offers several membership categories designed to accommodate health informatics professionals at different career stages, as well as organisations and institutions. Understanding which category applies to you ensures you pay the correct fee and receive the appropriate benefits.

SSHIA has seven official membership categories:
- Student Member — For students enrolled in health informatics or related programmes at accredited institutions. Reduced fee applies.
- Associate Member — For professionals with less than two years of experience in health informatics or related fields.
- Full Member — For qualified health informatics professionals with at least two years of relevant experience.
- Fellow — For distinguished professionals with significant contributions to health informatics in South Sudan or globally. Nomination required.
- Corporate Member — For private companies and organisations operating in the health informatics sector.
- Institutional Member — For government ministries, hospitals, NGOs, and academic institutions.
- Honorary Member — Awarded by the SSHIA Board to individuals who have made exceptional contributions to health informatics.
