Can international health professionals join SSHIA?
SSHIA welcomes health informatics professionals from outside South Sudan who have a professional interest in or connection to health informatics in South Sudan or the East African region.

Yes, international health informatics professionals can join SSHIA as Associate or Full Members. The application process is the same as for local members, but documents must be submitted online. Fees for international members are quoted in USD. International members enjoy all the same benefits as local members, including access to the knowledge base, training programmes (online), and the community forum. They can also participate in SSHIA research collaborations and advocacy initiatives.
South Sudanese health professionals living in the diaspora are particularly encouraged to join SSHIA. The association has a dedicated Diaspora Engagement Programme that connects diaspora members with opportunities to contribute to health informatics development in South Sudan, including remote mentorship, research collaboration, and policy advisory roles.
