SSHIA provides the following support to programme participants:
- Orientation workshop: All new mentors and mentees attend an orientation session at the start of each cohort to understand the programme structure, expectations, and tools.
- Mentorship Development Plan template: A structured template to help pairs set goals and plan their sessions.
- Resource library: Access to mentorship guides, career development resources, and health informatics reading materials.
- Mid-point check-in: The Mentorship Coordinator contacts all pairs at the midpoint to check progress and address any challenges.
- Conflict resolution: If a mentor-mentee relationship is not working, the Mentorship Committee can facilitate a re-match.
SSHIA also hosts quarterly networking events for all current mentors and mentees, providing opportunities to share experiences, learn from other pairs, and expand professional networks. These events are held in Juba and online for remote participants.
