What is the role of SSHIA in national health policy advocacy?
I am interested in how SSHIA engages with national health policy processes. What advocacy activities does SSHIA undertake and how can members get involved?

SSHIA engages in health policy advocacy through several channels: participating in Ministry of Health technical working groups on health information systems, digital health, and health workforce; submitting policy briefs and position papers on key health informatics issues; representing the health informatics profession in national health sector coordination forums; and engaging with parliamentarians and government officials on health informatics policy. Members can get involved by joining SSHIA advocacy committees, contributing to policy briefs, and participating in public consultations on health policy.
SSHIA also engages in regional and international advocacy through its membership in the African Health Informatics Association (AfHIA) and partnerships with WHO, UNICEF, and other global health organisations. This gives South Sudan health informatics professionals a voice in regional and global health policy discussions.
