How can SSHIA better serve its members in remote states of South Sudan?
Most SSHIA activities are concentrated in Juba, which makes it difficult for members in remote states to participate. How can SSHIA better serve members in Jonglei, Upper Nile, Western Equatoria, and other remote states?

SSHIA is developing a state-level engagement strategy that includes: establishing SSHIA state chapters in each of the ten states; training state-level SSHIA representatives who can coordinate activities locally; delivering training in states rather than requiring members to travel to Juba; and using online platforms to ensure that remote members can participate in SSHIA activities. Members in remote states who are interested in helping to establish a state chapter are encouraged to contact the SSHIA Secretariat.
Online engagement is the most practical way to serve remote members in the short term. SSHIA is investing in its online platforms — the member portal, e-learning platform, and community discussion boards — to ensure that members anywhere in South Sudan can access SSHIA services and participate in the community. The offline-compatible e-learning platform will be particularly important for members in areas with limited connectivity.
