How can DHIS2 improve clinical decision-making at facility level in South Sudan?
I have been working at a county hospital in Jonglei State and we recently started using DHIS2 for routine data entry. I am curious how other facilities are using DHIS2 data to actually inform clinical decisions rather than just reporting upwards. Are there examples of dashboards or reports that have changed how clinicians work?

The key is getting clinicians involved in designing the dashboards. If the data is presented in a way that is relevant to their daily work, they will use it. If it looks like an administrative reporting tool, they will ignore it.
We use the DHIS2 stock management module to track medicine availability. When we see that a particular medicine is running low, the clinical team is alerted so they can adjust prescribing and request emergency resupply before stock-outs occur. This has reduced the number of patients who leave without treatment.
