Membership
How do I become a member of SSHIA?
Complete the online application form under Get Involved → Apply for Membership, choose your membership category (Founder, Ordinary, Associate, Honorary, Institutional, Graduate, or Affiliate), and submit. Applications are reviewed by the membership committee and you will receive a decision by email within 10 working days. Approved members receive a membership certificate and access to the member portal.
What are the membership fees?
Annual subscription fees vary by category: Founder and Honorary members are exempt; Ordinary $50; Associate $75; Graduate $20; Affiliate $150; and Institutional $200. Monthly contributions also apply per category. Fees support training scholarships and association operations.
Can students join SSHIA?
Yes — students and recent graduates qualify for the Graduate membership category at a reduced rate of $20 per year, with full access to training discounts and the mentorship network.
Training & Certification
Which training programmes do you offer?
SSHIA offers instructor-led training in Clinical Skills, Health Management, Public Health, Research Methods, Leadership & Governance, and Digital Health — including DHIS2 fundamentals, data quality assurance, and health information systems management. All programmes carry verifiable certificates.
How do I verify a certificate?
Use the Verify Certificate page and enter the verification code printed on any SSHIA certificate. The system confirms the holder’s name, programme, issue date and validity instantly. Only certificates issued by SSHIA can be verified.
Mentorship
How does the mentorship programme work?
Apply as a mentor or mentee to any open programme. Once approved, our matching engine pairs mentors and mentees based on interests, skills, availability and category. Pairs meet for scheduled sessions, track milestones, and receive certificates upon completion.

Does SSHIA work outside Juba?
Yes. SSHIA operates in all ten states and three administrative areas of South Sudan through state chapters and partner institutions. See Where We Work for our coverage map and state offices.
How can my organisation partner with SSHIA?
Submit a partnership application under Get Involved → Partner with Us. Partnerships range from MOUs and programme collaboration to event sponsorship. Our team will contact you to define scope and sign a memorandum of understanding.
