The South Sudan Health Informatics Association (SSHIA) is the national professional body for health informatics in South Sudan. Founded by health professionals, statisticians, and technologists, SSHIA works to professionalise health information management, promote digital health innovation, and support evidence-based decision making across the health sector.
Our members work in hospitals, county health departments, national ministries, universities, and partner organisations. Through training, mentorship, research, and advocacy, we are building the human capital that South Sudan’s health information revolution requires.

SSHIA Launches National Health Data Quality Campaign
The South Sudan Health Informatics Association today launched a nationwide campaign to improve the quality of routine health data across all ten states, in partnership with the Ministry of Health and WHO.

Graduation: 120 Health Workers Complete DHIS2 Training
One hundred and twenty health workers from 43 health facilities received certificates after completing a three-month DHIS2 fundamentals and data use programme delivered by SSHIA certified trainers.

The memorandum of understanding establishes a joint research and internship programme connecting health informatics students with county health departments.
