The WHO Global Health Observatory (GHO) at who.int/data/gho provides free access to health data for all WHO Member States, including South Sudan. South Sudan health workers and researchers can use the GHO to: access national health statistics and compare them with regional and global benchmarks; download data on disease burden, mortality, health workforce, and health financing; track progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to health; and access country profiles that summarise key health indicators. The GHO is particularly useful for policy briefs, research papers, and grant applications that require evidence of South Sudan health status.
To access South Sudan-specific data on the GHO, go to who.int/data/gho, click on Countries, and select South Sudan. You can download data in CSV or Excel format for further analysis. SSHIA training on health data analysis covers how to use the GHO and other international health databases effectively.
