A vaccination card kept dry and complete, an antenatal care booklet brought to every visit, a growth chart understood by a mother watching her child’s line: these are the records on which the entire national system depends, and the ones families control directly.</p><p>The campaign’s field teams and radio segments teach five household habits: keep every health card in one waterproof pocket; bring the cards to every health visit, every time; read the growth chart as a story with a happy ending in mind; treat a vaccination card’s blank spaces as appointments, not decorations; and ask one question at every clinic visit — "what do my numbers say?" The habits are deliberately simple, teachable in minutes, and passed person to person: a mother who reads her child’s growth chart becomes the teacher of her neighbours.</p><p>The campaign works through the settings where families already gather: health facilities’ waiting areas host card-check moments before consultations; churches and mosques announce card-bringing days before immunisation sessions; market radio spots carry the five habits in memorable form; and schools engage older children as family card guardians — a role that has proven unexpectedly popular and effective. Facilities receive simple materials to run waiting-area card clinics, where staff help families repair, replace and complete damaged records on the spot.</p><p>The campaign’s promise is mutual: families that know their numbers receive faster, safer care — their history travels with them — while the health system gains complete data from the source.
